Welcome to The Dance Centre Peregian Springs.

Our school

The Dance Centre is situated on the Beautiful Sunshine Coast, nestled in the picturesque location Peregian Springs.

We provide a wide range of daily classes, workshops, holiday courses, shows, concerts and activities.  With air-con, sprung flooring covered in dance tarket, the centre is now known and loved by it’s students and parents. Teaching takes place in a caring and nurturing environment, where respect, friendliness and equality of students is foremost. The emotional and physical health of all the participants is safeguared by dedicated, experienced and highly qualified staff.

Our dance faculty have excellent qualifications and unique experience as former soloists, ballet company directors, choreographers and company trainers with over 25 years world-wide teaching experience in professional ballet companies, dance universities, vocational and recreational dance schools.

The dance centre annually enters students for their Royal Academy of Dance examinations and  the majority of students from 6 – 16 years achieve distinctions.

The Dance Centre regularly enters competitions, awards and scholarships winning numerous times and is now entering Australia -wide dance competitions with various different age groups in seven dance genre. Students are able to choose from Classical Ballet, Pointe classes, Pas de Deux, Repertoire, Contemporary dance, Jazz, Modern Expressive, Musical Theatre classes, Technical Jazz, Hip Hop, Drama and courses in acrobatics, cheerleading and Irish Dance. The Dance Centre also offers an adult and a Tiny Toes Program.

The Dance Centre Directors

Deborah Preece-Brocksom ARAD, ex-ballet company director, choreographer, first soloist. BA (Hons) First Class Degree in Dance, Durham University

Trained at Bush-Davies Vocational Ballet School and with Royal Ballet teachers, has a First Class Honors degree in Dance and is a registered RAD teacher with an ARAD

Richard Leader ex-professional soloist, choreographer, ballet company director, trainer & assistant

 Trained at the prestigious Royal Ballet School and finished his final years at the contemporary college of dance, Rambert.

Deborah and Richard are ex-soloists and ballet company directors and have taught world-wide in ballet companies, dance universities, vocational and recreational dance schools.

Richard & Deborah have in their previous schools had over 20 students accepted into world-class ballet schools and companies and are now achieving the same in Peregian Springs where junior & senior students can enroll in part or full time vocational training.
